ACA Secondary Academic Awards Presented

Aucilla Christian Academy's Class of 2017 Honor Graduates

Aucilla Christian Academy’s secondary academic awards program was held on May 12, 2017. Over $250,000 in scholarships were presented to seniors. “I’m so proud of our students using their God-given abilities to excel academically,” said Principal Richard Finlayson. “The 2017 graduating class has been exceptional, and they all have very bright futures!”

Florida Bright Future Awards
Bright Future Florida Medallion Scholars Award
To qualify for this award a student must have a 3.0 weighted GPA, a composite score of 26 on the ACT or an 1170 on the SAT and 75 hours of community service. Recipients: Faith Demott, Stephanie English, Joshua Greene, Chaz Hamilton, Joe Hannon, Kirsten Reagan, Ramsey Sullivan, Meagan Beaty, Gatlin Nennstiel, Hank Wirick, Austin Wilford. 

Bright Future Florida Academic Scholars Award
To qualify for this award a student must have a 3.5 weighted GPA, a composite score of 29 on the ACT or 1290 on the SAT and 100 hours of community service. Recipients: Nick Arceneaux, Traynor Barker, Sarah Hall, Kate Whiddon, Daulton Browning.

Presidential Award for Academic Excellence (8th and 12th Grade Students) 
To qualify for this award a student must have a GPA of 90 or above and must score higher than the 90th percentile in math or reading on the Stanford Achievement Test or the ACT. Recipients: 8th grade - Brady Browning, Joey Davis, Keira Evans, Kolton Gramling, Riley Rowe, Mary Rose Schwier, Will Sullivan, Makayla Walker, Olivia Walton; 12th grade - Nick Arceneaux (92nd Percentile ACT), Sarah Hall (94th Percentile ACT), Kate Whiddon (96th Percentile ACT).

Military Recognition & Scholarship 
ACA seniors who have enlisted in the U.S Military and seek to serve our country through military service: Will Albritton (United States Army) and Logan Register (United States Marines). Albritton also received the Post-9/11 G.I. Bill Scholarship.

Sixth Grade Awards 
Citizenship: Lillie Schwier; Highest GPA: Math - Jenna Grantham; Language Arts, Science, and World Cultures - Kaitlyn Tharpe. 

Seventh Grade Awards
