ACA Warrior to Pitch for Pensacola State
Noble "DJ" Wilkinson IV, a senior at Aucilla Christian Academy, has accepted an offer from Pensacola State College to carry on his passion for pitching and continue his education.
"I am extremely proud of DJ and happy for him," said ACA Baseball Coach Thornton Davis. "It's always exciting as a coach to see your player(s) have the opportunity to continue their career and education. I have confidence in DJ and look forward to having another 'Warrior' to keep up with after he leaves here."
DJ is the son of Leslie and Noble "Del" Wilkinson III of Monticello, who encouraged him to attend a showcase at PSC in September. "He knew right away that was where he wanted to go to school," said his mom. "The coaches' description of the competition level and team work ethic was what he was looking for. Plus, he liked the feel of the town. He was blessed to have been approached by the coaches. Before making the decision, he toured the campus, met some of the players and talked to Coach Davis."
DJ will sign the Letter of Intent and Scholarship Agreement on January 15, 2016, Signing Day for the National Junior College Athletic Association.
