ACA Alumni Clay Shoot & Homecoming Social Announced
On September 19, the Aucilla Christian Academy Alumni Association will host its second annual Clays for Kids sporting clays shoot at 8:00 a.m. at Southwind Sporting Clays in Quitman, Georgia for alumni and friends of ACA. Cost is $125 per person or $400 per team. Corporate team sponsorships are available for $500 and sign sponsorships are as well for $100. ACA alumni and friends can also become “star” donors by making a $25 (or more) donation.
“This is a really fun event for our alumni and friends and for such a great cause,” said Tyler McNeill, ACA Alumni Association president. “We held our first sporting clays event earlier this year and received special requests from our participants to schedule the event in September for the upcoming school year, so that’s exactly what we did.”
Teams will consist of four people. There will be 12 stations and 50 targets. Participants must bring their gun and ammunition, as well as eye and hearing protection. Individual participants must be at least age 18. Participants ages 12-17 must be accompanied by a parent or guardian. Snacks, drinks and lunch will be provided. There will also be door prize drawings and prizes for the best overall shooter and the first place team. All proceeds benefit the ACA student scholarship fund for area families who would otherwise not be able to afford to send their children to ACA.
Shortly after the clay shoot, the association will also host alumni at their annual homecoming tailgate social on Friday, October 30 at Warrior Memorial Field, starting at 6:00 p.m. All alumni are invited and encouraged to attend.
