Aucilla Christian Academy Warrior Tag Williams started his freshman year at ACA a little later than his classmates with very good reason: He was pitching for Tallahassee’s Babe Ruth 14U All-Star team that placed third in the nation at the Babe Ruth World Series in Eagle Pass, Texas, August 8-16, 2018.
His parents, Angie and Bradley Williams of Monticello, were with him every step of the way.
“In July, they clinched the state title, which moved them on to compete in Virginia where they won the Southeast Regional Championship,” said Angie. From there, they were Texas bound where Tag and his teammates represented the Southeast very well, finishing their tournament play with a 11-1 record.
“It was a great experience for him and he worked very hard,” said his mom. “He represented ACA well both on and off the field.” At ACA, he’s been playing varsity baseball since seventh grade.
“Tag is a gifted athlete,” said ACA Baseball Coach Daryl Adams. “God has blessed him with a passion and unique talents. We are a stronger program with Tag being part of it. I’m looking forward to seeing the heights he can reach.”
